Achieving 100% Compliance: The Mary Grace International Success Story

Nyan

🎯 Perfect score. Zero gaps. Full compliance.

We recently worked with a fantastic partner to help them achieve a perfect compliance score during their WorkRight review.

The WorkRight Initiative is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Manpower and CPF Board to ensure awareness and national compliance with the Employment Act and CPF Act, making sure both employers and employees are doing the right thing when it comes to workers' rights.

Partnering with Mary Grace Foods, Inc. has been a dream. At With Kinna, we are always looking for Kinnas (champions) to do great work with. While Mary Grace Foods Inc is already a giant in its own right, Victor and Chiara are creating a whole new chapter with Mary Grace International, growing this beautiful brand in Singapore.

Working with Victor Hugo, Jr. and Chiara gave us an in-depth view of how great culture is built on a solid HR foundation led by empathetic and strong founders.

Victor had the foresight to engage With Kinna to review and build upon their HR fundamentals, and the WorkRight review was our proof of concept. With the Kinna Review, I reviewed their processes and documentation to ensure they met the 18-point KET review, the 12-point IPS review, and payroll timeline compliance. We then conducted an awareness session with their employees through briefings and materials, giving the team full confidence that they are working with not only a compliant employer but an emerging employer of choice.

Our partnership continues with the Kinna Retainer. We are excited to bring Mary Grace International to great heights and renowned reputation for attracting and building the best talent in the industry, while delighting customers every day with their beautiful and always delicious bakes.

🤝 Great culture starts with getting the basics right.

At With Kinna, we help businesses build HR foundations that don't just pass audits, they attract and retain great people. Connect with us for a chat and we are excited to hear about your story.

Frequently Asked

Common Questions

What is the WorkRight Initiative in Singapore?

The WorkRight Initiative is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the CPF Board. It ensures businesses comply with the Employment Act and CPF Act, protecting workers' rights and helping employers maintain national standards.

What does a "Kinna Review" involve for HR compliance?

A Kinna Review is a comprehensive audit of HR fundamentals. It includes an 18-point Key Employment Terms (KET) review, a 12-point Itemised Pay Slip (IPS) review, and a full assessment of payroll timeline compliance to ensure a business is audit-ready.

How does HR compliance impact employer branding?

Compliance is the foundation of an "Employer of Choice." By ensuring KET and IPS accuracy and conducting employee awareness briefings, founders demonstrate empathy and professional integrity, which helps attract and retain top talent.

What are the 18-point KET and 12-point IPS reviews?

These are specific compliance checklists used by With Kinna to audit a company's Key Employment Terms (KETs) and Itemised Pay Slips (IPS). Meeting these requirements is essential for passing MOM WorkRight reviews and ensuring legal transparency between employers and employees.

What is the difference between the Kinna Review and the Kinna Retainer?

The Kinna Review is a "proof of concept" audit that identifies and fixes gaps in HR documentation and processes. The Kinna Retainer is an ongoing partnership where we continue to build upon those foundations, focusing on talent attraction, retention, and long-term business reputation.

How does With Kinna prepare employees for a WorkRight review?

We conduct awareness sessions through briefings and materials. This gives the team full confidence in their employer’s compliance, reducing friction and positioning the company as an emerging employer of choice in competitive sectors like F&B.

Why is a "solid HR foundation" important for F&B founders?

For founders growing brands in Singapore, like Victor and Chiara of Mary Grace International, getting the basics right (payroll, contracts, CPF) allows them to scale with peace of mind, knowing their culture is built on a compliant and empathetic foundation.
